Specialized Training

The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at University of Utah Health offers a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. 

The SCI Medicine Fellowship is a 12-month program that offers specialized training in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of traumatic and non-traumatic spinal cord injuries and related conditions. The SCI Medicine fellow will rotate through a variety of practice settings including the University of Utah Health (acute care hospital and rehabilitation center), Primary Children’s Hospital, and the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System Salt Lake City.

Rehabilitation Hospital

A state-of-the-art freestanding Rehabilitation Hospital; located on the campus in near proximity to the main hospital complex.  The Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital is a 150,000 square foot advanced facility, which will be a restorative and healing environment designed to speed recovery and improve quality of life for patients after they return home.
